This year, Medway Asthma Self-Help (MASH) is celebrating its 25th birthday – that's 25 years of providing asthma support and raising asthma awareness in Medway. What an achievement!
Now we would like you to take on the MASH25 challenge and help MASH to continue making a difference by supporting people and families affected by asthma in Medway. Pick a challenge, make a £25 donation to MASH, and when you send us proof of completing your challenge then we will send you a MASH25 medal.
Pick your MASH25 challenge – something you love and enjoy, and maybe even make it 25 themed! You could run, walk, jog, cycle, swim, jump, scoot, knit, read, sing, bake, litter pick and more. Something to improve your health and well-being, or something to help others. You could do 25 good deeds – for example, promise to load the dishwasher or do the hoovering for 25 days.
Check out our chair of trustees, Clive, and his hair-raising MASH25 challenge towards the end of this page.

Terms and Conditions
The MASH25 Virtual Challenge runs from 1st August to 17th September 2021. The event is a virtual online event, where participants take part in their own time and location, following current government covid guidelines as appropriate. Participants take part in the event at their own risk and MASH shall not be responsible or liable for any injury or illness resulting from participation.
The event is designed to raise funds for Medway Asthma Self-Help (MASH). All UK residents are eligible to enter. Young persons under 18 years of age may take part provided they are registered by a parent or carer. There is a single donation of £25 per challenge/medal, although participants are encouraged to use the donation platform to collect additional sponsorship for the charity if they wish to do so. Donations are not generally refundable, even if participants do not complete their personal challenge.
Participants will pledge their challenge when filling in the registration form and making their £25 donation. They will then be asked to send proof of completing their challenge in the form of a picture via email, social media or post by the end of Friday 17th September 2021. The charity will then post the participant a MASH25 medal as a thank you for their efforts.
We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time. When registering for the event, participants will be asked to confirm that they agree with the terms and conditions set out above.
In June 2021, MASH's chair of trustees, Clive, made a hair-raising spectacle of himself and raised money for MASH as part of our 25th birthday celebrations. He challenged himself to 25 different hairstyles over 25 days, all before the big post-lockdown haircut. Clive raised an amazing £1,160 (£1,422 incl. gift aid) to support MASH's work.
You can check out all 25 of the hairstyles below.
Well done, Clive. What an amazing idea!
